Ghanaian Lady Desperate to Return Home After Struggling with American Food
A Taste of Home Nowhere in Sight
Having traveled abroad for the first time, the woman expected to find a variety of Ghanaian dishes available. Her uncle assured her that there would be plenty of Ghanaian food options in America. However, reality hit hard when she arrived and couldn't find any of her favorite meals, such as Gobɛ or Kenkey, within her vicinity.
Struggles and Desperation
The video shows the lady tearfully explaining her predicament. "I've been tired since I came here. It's only vegetables that we eat. All their food is vegetables. I even went outside to look for Gobɛ or Kenkey to buy. I walked meters but couldn't find any Ghanaian food," she lamented. Her uncle, heard in the background, admitted that there were no African food markets nearby.
A Heartfelt Plea
Overwhelmed by her inability to find Ghanaian food, the woman begged her uncle to buy her a ticket back to Ghana. "I want to return to my country. I can't cope with the food here. You lied to me, uncle. You told me that every Ghanaian food is here only for me to come and realize it's not true. Please buy a ticket for me to return home," she pleaded, craving the familiar tastes of Banku and Gobɛ.
